Approval process

Approval process

A TFM workflow is a set of statuses and transitions that a record moves through during its lifecycle and typically represents a process within your organization. Workflows are supported by the following applications Surveys, Landings, Fishers, Permits, Vessel registration, and Vessels.

Records have two status fields:

  1. Record status, indicating the completeness of a record, and

  2. Approval status indicates the workflow status of a record.

The initial workflow state of a record is Edit and is the only editable state. Data collection units can request approval by transitioning it to a submitted state. Data management units can approve Approve, Request Info, or Reject records.

When a user transitions a record from one state to another, he can add comments. Users can view the entire workflow and communication history.

Notifications are created when transitioning between workflow statuses.
