The Create another function

The Create another function

When collecting data on landings, you need to enter many details for each catch record. This can be tedious work when there are many records to be captured.

When recording vessel catches from the same trip, we notice that many values stay the same from one record to another. For example, the fishing zone usually stays the same for the trip.

TFM Create another feature is here to help you simplify and speed up your data entry. When this feature is set, and you press Create, then

  1. the current record will be saved and

  2. a new record will be automatically created for you with many values from the previous record copied to the new one.

This can save you a lot of time when many values stay the same from one record to another.

How to use the Create another feature.

  1. Enter data as you normally would and fill out all required fields.

  2. Toggle the Create another button BEFORE +Create

  3. Now press the +Create; the current record will be saved, and a new record with many values retained will be created for you.

Now you can add and modify the data in the new record.

While the toggle button is set, you can repeat this process for all remaining records.

You can deactivate the Create another feature by toggling the switch to the off position.
